Adolf Erik Nordenskiöld

1837-1901

 

  He was a an Arctic explorer and mineralogist. He led the Vega expedition which was the first complete crossing of the Northeast Passage (1878-79). He is noted for writing the most complete biography of Scheele Scheele. Efterlamnade bref och anteckningar [Posthumous letters and notes] (1892).
